an unhandled microsoft .net framework exception occurred in devenv exe[2464]

Hi,

I am getting "an unhandled microsoft .net framework exception occurred in devenv exe[2464]" and JIT debugger is coming up when i try to open my project in visual studio 2010. When i click no to debugging VS2010 is crashing. My project was in VS2005 and migrated to VS2010. I also reinstalled VS2010 thinking some components were not installed properly. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

There is the Problem its tough to Port a 2005 to a 2010 Project. You need to Port (reform the Code manual) at your own.

Check that your project target framework is .Net Framework 4
By default when you create a WinForms App the target framework is set as .Net Framework 4 Client Profile

To check this right-click your project and go to Properties then at the Application tab check the Target Framework

Or it could be under Application Properties >> Compile >> Advanced Compile Options >> Target Framework.
