I'm having trouble installing Microsoft BCM and get an error during setup that BCM can not install SQL Express because SQL Server already installed on that machine. Please remove the current installation and restart the BCM setup.

The problem is that the current SQL installation is in use and I can not remove it.

Any way to install the BCM using the installed SQL?

The BCM installation is a nightmare in such case... The only option really is to backup all your today's databases, remove the SQL Server, install BCM, install original SQL Server and restore the backup.

This situation is valid for BCM 2007. I am not sure about BCM 2010.

The easiest solution is to use different (new) computer for BCM.

suppose I'll create a VM for the BCM, will I be able to add it to the outlook used in the TS? can you explain how?

well, do you know if it's even possible to use BCM for a group of users running outlook on TS and using the same DB?
can you direct me to a link?

The BCM database sharing is possible, of course. Info is e.g. here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/CH001206070.aspx
