WorkCentre 7232/7242 banner sheet is off but still prints banner

Hello guys;

This is really strange; my client has Xerox WorkCentre 7232/7242 and the banner sheet is off but it will not stop printing banners.

- I tried disabling the banner sheet and it is disabled by the Xerox control panel but it still dose it.
(enable it and then disable it)

- re-installed the driver - downloaded the new drive from xerox and replaced it with the new one but no luck.

- I also looked at the http web-page of the printer for config but no luck, there is no such an option.

Any suggestions ?

Well I am not sure that this question belongs under Windows Batch Programming but to try to answer the question, have you looked at the printer settings/config of the printer on client machine? There is a setting in there for printing a banner that will override the setting on the actual setting on the printer.

Yes, Sorry for the wrong zone. I already sent a request to edit the question.

I have tried that and the option is set to disable  " banner sheet is currently set to OFF" but it will still print.

Thanks pony10us; I have already tried that but no luck. I will try to install different form of printer driver like post script driver and see if that helps.

Well I have tried to find a solution but have not been successful.  I have only used one Xerox printer and when it broke we had no support in the area so we have opted to stay with HP since.

Sorry but if I do manage to find something I will come back and let you know.

Are you sure it's a printer banner sheet, and not a Windows separation page? Go to printer Properties > Advanced tab > Separation Page. You would have to do this on the server to turn it off for everyone.

OK, I double checked with the client and they turned to be using Citrix when they print and for some reason the local settings will not hold when the citrix printing session was created.

So I had to take ownership of the printing session on the citrix server  then add my self as admin and then disable the banner sheet option and finally ask the user to logoff and logback in and it fixed it.

So it did turn out to be an issue with the settings however it was a security issue with Citrix?
