asked on

What if the valid license key I provide does not work?

It took my valid license key but still thinks it is a developer version

My license key is for:
Adobe ColdFusion 8 Standard Edition (All Available Platforms,English)

Server: Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter (activated)
Processor: Intel Xeon E5520 2.26 GHz (2 processors)
System: 64-bit
Memory: 4GB

Adobe technical support have not been able to help resolve this issue

have you uninstalled and then re-installed using only the standard key?

During the install, the purchased key would not work. Adobe support eventually gave an alternative key and that also would not work so I installed as "developer" and then went into CF Administrator to apply the purchased key.

It took the key, but still shows the version as "developer"

Looks like my license.properties file is barren

Shouldn't this have my SN and some other stuff?

I re-applied the SN and restarted the server

The license.properties file now has

#CF License File
#Thu Aug 19 15:39:55 CDT 2010
appserver=0V\=LUFWP]J(Z^V)[G?G5'C@  \n
code=-4919324321886848108
sn=xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
listen=true
user=
installlanguage=en
installtype=standalone
company=
previous_sn=
vendor=0YV\#Y\!,U&;_;YN@)&)B'"WP  \n

Still it thinks it is Developer Edition
