Experts,
I just move from Outlook Express to Outlook and would like to know if I can turn off the line separators in the area where the subject, sent, etc box is located so it appears more like Outlook Express?

If I understand you correctly:  Go to View > Arrange By > untick Show in Groups

I tried that and maybe I am unclear - each message appears to be separated by a line on top and on bottom and I find that irrating. In Express all messages appeared with a solid white background and that's were I would like to be.

Thank you.  Okay I think I've found the setting you're looking for.  Go to View > Current View > Customise Current View... Then hit Other Settings and set the Grid line style to No grid lines.
