Chrome bookmarks bar gone...and ctrl b won't restore it

I'm using 6.0.472.36 beta. Right-clicked to hide the bookmarks bar...and now I can't find any way to restore it. Suggestions?

Have you tried looking in the tools menu in the upper right of the window?  (The wrench icon is the tools menu).  The fourth option should say. "Always show bookmarks bar."  If you can see that, you should be able to toggle the bookmarks bar.  Let me know if that helps.

Well, the first thing to try is to update Chrome.  If you go to "About Google Chrome" in the tools menu, it should tell you that there is an update available.  Try the update and let me know if your bookmarks come back.

It's up-to-date automatically when you install the beta. At least that's what it tells you when you do :) but of course I checked, and it says Checking for updates.. "Google Chrome is up to date"

OK, well I assume you tried closing and re-opening and hopefully tried restarting your machine.  So, if it is up to date, you may have to either wait for the next release or go back to a stable version.  It may also be worth trying s quick reinstall.  I'll keep looking at it though in case that doesn't fix it.

Looks like the shortcut is now Ctrl+Shift+B
