Asteisk - SIP phone extension configuration issue -- chan_sip.c:22753 sip_poke_noanswer: Peer '1003' is now UNREACHABLE!  Last qualify: 0

Hello everybody,

I have a test platform of asterisk server (Asterisk 1.6.2.0)

I have configured some softphone (xlite) & hardphone (polycom) without any issue and able to do test call and test other features.

I'm trying to configure a LG Nortal LIP-6812d SIP phone,

On Asterisk console initially I can see the SIP phone querying the Asterisk server but later the connection drops and below is consloe message

Registered SIP '1003' at 192.168.3.68 port 5060
       > Saved useragent "LG-Nortel LIP 6812 v1.2.06s SN/00405A18A4ED" for peer 1003
[Aug 20 20:17:38] NOTICE[16664]: chan_sip.c:22753 sip_poke_noanswer: Peer '1003' is now UNREACHABLE!  Last qualify: 0

*CLI> sip show peers

(The asterisk server and the SIP phone are not in the same subnet)

Any help appreciated

Have you enabled NAT in for the NG Nortal phone ?

if not put

nat=yes
canreinvite=no

( in sip section of that phone)

if this doesnot work , then try ping the ip that asterisk shows initially to check if there is connectivity.

I do not have these option in the LG phone

I have attached SIP server configuration sheet

No , i was talking about Asterisk Box , where you define the sip clients.

Tried putting the entry in sip.conf but still same error

can you ping that ip 192.168.3.68 after it says unreachable ?

Yes I can ping the IP from Asterisk server to LG nortal SIP phone, anyway temporary workaround I have swapped the LG phone with Snom phone and its seems to be working fine.

So confirms some issue with LG phone model, thanks for your advise Amit
