How do I setup Dazzle on my Citrix XenApp 5.0 Environment?

Hello,

I'd like to setup Dazzle on my laptop to test with my Citrix XenApp 5.0 Environment.

Environment:

LAN
Server #1: Server 2008 Std 64bit - is the Data Collector that runs my apps, it also has the application (EMR) installed with terminal server that configured and listed on Citrix XenApp
Not a DC, however in RAPA.local domain

DMZ
Server #2: 192.168.14.242, Server 2003 Std, SP2, 32bit, 4GB RAM and Disk space 67.70, free 59.22GB - Citrix Web Interface and Citrix Secure Gateway
Not a DC, however in my domain (RAPA.local)
Citrix Web Interface Version: 5.0.1.29110
Citrix Secure Gateway: 3.1
IIS V6.0

Do I need to upgrade anything and how do I configure?

Thanks,

All fine.  Just download Dazzle and install it.  Merchandising Server is optional, but you should think about it for a production deployment.  Once installed, point Dazzle to a Web Interface Service Site (PNAgent).  Just point it to the XML file, log in when it prompts you, and you will see your apps.  All very cool.

How do you point to a PNAgent/XML File? I'm not sure if I installed a PNAgent site correctly, so how can I double check this site?

Thanks so much.

Point directly to the XML file:

http://your.citrixwebinterface.com/Citrix/PNAgent/config.xml

It usually looks like that.  You can test it by just hitting that URL in a browser.  You should see an XML file with lots of data on your applications.  Dazzle grabs and interprets that file, allowing the apps to be neatly displayed.

Ok it WORKS with iPhone/iPad!!!!! Perfect instructions. The only thing is that I'd like to test Citrix Receiver for MAC desktop/laptops and after reading I saw the requirements for MAC receiver 2.0 that I'll need merchandising server, is that correct? Is their any way I can deploy on MAC with receiver 1.2 without merchandising server?

If I need merchandising server, can I install XenServer on my XenApp server with merchandising server on that? Hope I asked that correctly. Thanks.

I've heard of others grabbing the Mac Receiver directly from MyCitrix, but most recently, I've only seen it delivered via Merchandising Server.  I suspect it has something to do with easier management of the Mac platform.

XenServer is a bare metal install.  You can't install it on top of XenApp.  You can install XenApp on a virtualized windows host running on XenServer though.  Then you can download the Merchandising Server appliance and install it on your XenServer instance.
