How do you monitor and apply Hotfixes to XenApp 5.0 on Server 2008?

Hello,

I'd like to find out how to apply Hotfixes or updates to my Citrix XenApp 5.0. and how easy is it to upgrade my current environment of Citrix XenApp, WI, Secure Gateway to the most current versions?

Our physicians would like to access apps from iphone and ipad. Most importantly they need to access from their home pc as easy as possible.

Citrix Environment?

LAN
Server #1: Server 2008 Std 64bit - is the Data Collector that runs my apps, it also has the application (EMR) installed with terminal server that configured and listed on Citrix XenApp
Not a DC, however in RAPA.local domain

DMZ
Server #2: 192.168.14.242, Server 2003 Std, SP2, 32bit, 4GB RAM and Disk space 67.70, free 59.22GB - Citrix Web Interface and Citrix Secure Gateway
Not a DC, however in my domain (RAPA.local)
Citrix Web Interface Version: 5.0.1.29110
Citrix Secure Gateway: 3.1
IIS V6.0
IIS Site: Default Web Site
Path: /Citrix/XenApp
Set as the default page for the IIS site
Web Interface Secure Client Access Settings
Name: https://Citrix.myrapadocs.com444/Citrix/XenApp
Gateway Direct/Non translating firewalls

For applying hotfixes you would use the hotfix manager in the AMC.  Applying hotfixes is not difficult but I do not suggest applying them unless you have tested those hotfixes in a test environment and verify the EMR application has no issues.  In my opinion, you should set up a small virtual environment using XenServer Free edition if you have a server and test what you are looking to put into production.
