mod_rewrite and addon domain

I'm using a cpanel web hosting, I recently add an addon domain. There is a javascript file when I visit its link from old domain it works. But the with the addon domain it throws an error 406. main and addon domain is pointed to the same directory and same ftp username.

Hosting company checked for days and said that mod_security should disabled. What do you think?

You could certainly disable mod_security.  However, I often use that as a last resort.  I guess MY question to you would be How important is it to mask that addon domain?  Could your needs allow you to take a simple approach and use DNS settings with the registrar to simply auto-forward the "add-on domain" to the existing domain?  This could be  simple solution provided there is no NEED to have scripts run under both domains and just have one auto-forward.

Example:  You want both dog.com and dogs.com.  Dog.com is an add-on.  It's there to capture the "typo" visitors.  But business is done under dogs.com.  DNS forwarding would simply redirect dog.com to dogs.com where all scripting is performed.
