I have a admin panel for a site that allow the owners to upload files (mostly church bulletins in pdf format). I am wondering how to track the upload progress of the file, so that a visual representation is there, to prevent them from trying to reload the page on large file uploads. Is this possible to achieve with jquery/javascript?

On this page of the PHP manual:
http://us.php.net/manual/en/features.file-upload.post-method.php

It says, "File upload progress bar can be implemented by apc.rfc1867."
Link here:
http://us.php.net/manual/en/apc.configuration.php#ini.apc.rfc1867

Most of the professionally built web sites would use jQuery.  Links here:
