I read somewhere there is an issue with Crystal and Windows Home Edition.  I'll try to find the reference.

I seem to recall that it was that Crystal wouldn't run on Windows Home

I found out that the Crystal Report Modules are 32-bit modules and my 64-bit machine could not compile them.  I was able to compile my solution after I did the following

In Visual Basic 2008/Visual Studio

1) Go to Project | Properties
2) Select Compile from left menu
3) Scroll to bottom and select "Advanced Compile Options"
4) Under Target CPU, select "x86"
5) Click "OK"

Hope this helps!
