Push WSH 5.7 via group policy

i'd like to push out the windows script host v5.7
have some login scripts that i'd like to use but i can't due to some xp machines running older images that don't support the functions i've scripted.

Check to make sure they have service pack 3.  Service pack three installs this version of WSH.  If you have WSUS, you can push SP3 to Windows XP.

that's the rub. we haven't officially cleared sp3 to run house-wide. were just now able to get IE7 okayed.
you do remind me though, if i can get KB943729 pushed out i could probably use the new options to do a lot of what i'm doing with my script.
I'll investigate that, will leave question open in the meantime.

Ah, I see.  Some places are a little slower than others to deploy.  I'm guessing it's probably going to be quite some time before you guys see Windows 7 if they are still hesitant about SP3.

Anywho, KB943729 can be pushed by WSUS.  It's part of the Feature Pack so you'll have to enable this within WSUS to get it to show up in the approval list.
