How can a user archive 1 particular folder using Enterprise Vault

Hi

I have inherited an Enterprise Vault 8.x archiving solution but have very limited knowledge about it.  I can see via policy that items are being archived via a specific policy on the server.  However, I would like to know how to archive an individual folder (which is very large) in the users mailbox.  Is there a way to get this granular via the server?

Alternatively, the users have the enterprise vault client for Outlook 2007.  Is there a way I can manually have this folder archived via Outlook.  I've looked under TOOLS > ENTERPRISE VAULT, but only see a "Search Index" menu item, and nothing more.

Could anyone offer assistance?

There may be a way to do it but it would require scripting, here's an example:

Give EV support a call.  Normally I wouldn't recommend a separate policy for a single user, I would create a more aggressive policy for the user in general by creating a seperate provisioning group and AD group to handle exceptions.

I figured it out.  If you go to:-

Enterprise Vault Servers > Server Name > Tasks, you can schedule a manual archive task for an individual mailbox.

This seems to have alleviated the problems the individual user was experiencing.

That is correct, I thought you wanted to do this on scheduled basis.  The run manual task is only when you're adding users or ininital ingestion.  This user and the rest of the users will be archived per policy according to schedule if you have one set on this task
