In an XSLT stylesheet I am creating a <a> html tag and using an XSLT attribute to set the href setting of the anchor. This all works as I would expect. However now I need to make the <a> reference open a new window without the search and menu bars. Does anyone know how this can be done, I am assuming I will need javascript?

you need to open it using the javscript window.open() function!

<script type="text/javascript">
function OpenWin(Address) {
  MW = window.open(Address, "Win TItle", "width=300,height=200,locationbar=no,menubar=no,toolbar=no,personalbar=no,");
  MW.focus();
}
</script>

put the <script>-block into your generated html code and then build an <a onclick="OpenWin(Address)" ...>..</a>
