Password protect machine on Oracle VM virtual box.

Is there any way to password protect this ?

I think you are referring to the VM itself.
1. You can password protect the OS to prevent it from starting.
2. You can password protect the screen saver / other idle mechanism to prevent it from being accessed if running.
3. You can log it off and leave it running if only services need to run and then (1) and (2) kick in.

If it is running and people can normally access the machine, you need to use the password protection in the application.
