Laserjet 3500 doesn't manual duplex

Hi,
I have a laserjet 3500 (plain, not an N). It is attached to a Windows sbs2003 server through USB cable. When attempting to duplex I get the little pop-up that explains how to orient the paper, so the software knows what's going on. I click OK. The printer just continues to print page after page into the output hopper like a regular job and doesn't stop to move paper for side 2. I don't have the ordiginal CD.
I have HP working it for a week with no results. They'have me try different drivers to no avail. I read that the original driver on the CD does bring duplexing back.
Any ideas where to get that original driver.
Is there a physical switch on the printer that is keeping this from happening?
Is there another color laserjet driver that I can substitute that would duplex.

Drivers are available from this page, where you can also order the CD:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=315864&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=315862&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1005

I expect that the link to "HP color LaserJet 3500 printing system" will be the same, and it's a free download - unless the additional software on the CD somehow takes care of the manual duplexing. I would try the download first; if that does not work, then get the CD.

ASKER

What you are telling me is to wait for HP support to lumber along and address my problem. I paid for the out of warranty support, but was looking for a quicker solutions. I'm going to leave this open and submit my solution when (or if) HP solves it. Maybe I can help someone else later on.
I'm sorry, but I did not mention or imply HP support. I suggested a way to get the CD and a way to possibly fix the problem without the CD. I'm not sure what you're even talking about.
