Hi everyone,

I have this Compaq Presario 1800 Notebook that I'm trying to revive. I need to get into BIOS but it's locked with a password. Before opening the laptop, maybe anyone here knows of a master / reset password for this? TIA.

There is no master password for this range of laptops.
See page 39 in the Service Manual  for the process to reset - note the warning that all the other BIOS settings in the CMOS will be lost when you do this.
