Appears an error message on that usb port, something like Power Management crash?

No all usb ports show up fine. Windows install to whatever usb port I connect the scanner to, but the capture perfect software will only see scsi, even though the scanner has both usb and scsi ports.

To fix the error of QD1.DLL: http://www.jj54.com/Fix-Runtime-Error/QD1.DLL/
try this for now, I'm still looking for something more specific.

One question: Have you tested this scanner on other computers? It may be that the problem is at the door of the scanner if this error appears in more than one computer.
but it's just a guess.
