No all usb ports show up fine. Windows install to whatever usb port I connect the scanner to, but the capture perfect software will only see scsi, even though the scanner has both usb and scsi ports.

One question: Have you tested this scanner on other computers? It may be that the problem is at the door of the scanner if this error appears in more than one computer.<br />

XP sp3 installed latest driver and capture perfect software. open capture perfect it says no scanner attached, close the software and get error no scsi cable attached. It should connect using usb not scsi. When i try using microsoft scanning get error qd1.dll missing.

canon DR 3060C II scanner won't connect to usb port. Defualts to scsi
