when accessing *. MHTML slow down the computer

When users access files of type *. MHTML, located in this directory,  explorer process· increases very quickly, and then the computer hangs and the user simply cannot continue .pls resolve the issue

What version of IE are you using. There is a known issue with IE7 & 6. Maybe try to upgrade to the latest version if possible.

We are using IE 6.Any other alternative to fix this.If we disable mcafee then it is working.can we add
exclusion

You could try to add the iexplorer.exe process on the exclusion list and check if there are Mcafee addons in internet explorer and try to disable them. If you have support maybe open a support case with mcafee?
