How we can use Color dept as 256 colour on Windows 2008 r2 Terminal Server

Hi All,
As you know that 256 colour dept are removed with W2008 Terminal services. But i need to use kind of these low color dept. I have a limited bandwith because of that, sessios with 15 - 16 bit color depts. are creating to useage/performance problem to my company RD users.

Is anybody know a trick for able to aneable/provide 256 colour for RD connection on 2008 server   RD

Uh - maybe stating the way-too-obvious here, but 8 bits per pixel actually amounts to 256 colors ...

In my humble opinion correctly answered in http:#a33502393
Setting the properties of the RDP protocol in the above dialog to 8 bits per pixel will restrict RDP connections to the server to said 256 colors.
The desktop looks of course horrible, but it works.
