I receive this error when I try to view the SharePoint databases on a SharePoint 2007 server from the DPM 2010 "Create New Protection Group" wizard:
DPM Could not enumerate SharePoint datasources on the protected member sharepointserver.domain.net (ID: 967)
1) Please ensure that front-end web server of the SharePoint Farm has been configured for protection using "ConfigureSharePoint.exe -EnableSharePointProtection".
2) If you are protecting SharePoint Search, then run "ConfigureSharePoint.exe -EnableSPSearchProtection" as well on the front-end web server.
When I try to run ConfigureSharepoint.exe on the Sharepoint server (WS 2003 R2 SP2 x86) from the \\DPM2010SErverx64\c$\Prog
ram Files\Microsoft DPM\DPM\bin I receive an error stating:
the image file \\sfdbackuptest1\c$\Progra
m Files\Microsoft DPM\DPM\bin\ConfigureShare
point.exe is valid, but is for a machine type other than the current machine.
I am assuming it is because they are different architectures - but how else do I go about running ConfigureSharepoint.exe on my 32bit SharePoint server? Micrsosofts site says that this configuration should be supported: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff399140.aspx
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
