setting redirects through apache using webmin/cpanel

Hi experts!

Please try to help me with changing settings on my dedicated server, so it can serve multiple websites.

So far there is one domain being used on the server and I have no Idea what to do to make it serve others.

My machine is running on Linux Centos 5 I am using apache webserver and webmin

Thanks!!!!

If it helps this server apparently has 3 IP addresses available (whatever it means)
and server support emailed me this as a solution:

"I'm fairly certain you can use your servers primary IP for the Host record, or one of the extra IP's if you're not using them for nameservers, as long as they are configured in your nic controller set up as virtual addresses.
You can have multiple domain names linked to your servers primary IP, by setting redirects through apache using webmin/cpanel etc."

Hi, first you'll be wanting to register the other Domain names, either as CNAME (aliases) entries on your Primary IP address, or alternatively have the names associated (A-Record) with the other PUBLIC IP's you have for your host.

Once the alternate hosts are registerd you'll want to create a few new Virtual Hosts, see: http://doxfer.webmin.com/Webmin/ApacheWebserver

If you've gone for CNAME entries, go for "Name Based Virtual Hosts", else if you've gone for the IP route, IP based Virtual hosts.
