SCCM with server 2008 R2

Does SCCM 2007 works with Windows Server 2008 R2 in production environment. And is installation configuration recommended with Windows server 2008 R2. I have tried to find about this on internet but couldn't find so can you people help regarding this problem.

SP2 for SCCM2007 adds support for windows 2008R2 in a production environment
