Can not assign read only permissions to a e-mail box shared by many employees

I have a service e-mail accont that 5 people share.  one person has full e-mail box control, I did this by going to the exchange server going to AD finding the user going to properties then mailbox rights and giving full control.  For the rest I want read only, well I do the same thing but give read only.  When they go to open the e-mail box in their outlook they get the message, "unable to expand the folder."  What am I doing wrong?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This is a little tricky to accomplish but i can be done. Just by simply check "read" permissions in the AD Exchagne Advance tab mailbox permissions will not accomplish this.

Take a look here for the procedure...
