SBS 2008 emails stop working and Hangs at Login

I have a customer with a new installation of SBS 2008 Exchange 2007 service packed and patched 500GB HDD and 8GB RAM.  Every other week, I get a call to say that they cannot send and receive email, but when I logon to look at the problem enter password it just hangs on Welcome and does not load to the Desktop.  The only option I have is to pull the plug on Server and power back on, this then resolves the send and receive of emails and I am able to logn onto the Server.  It is as if over a period of time the Resources are consumed and it grinds everyhting to a halt.  Has anybody any suggestions as to troubleshoot this.  Event logs when checking do not appear to have anything at all of significance to the problem

check to see if you have event id's 2019 or 2020. Sounds like paged pool issues which means it exhausts itself of resources, or a good old fashioned memory leak.

Thanks for the quick reponse, I have checked for those event id's but don't have those listed.
Yeah, those are normally server2003 issues and I feel your pain on this issue, I've had this happen on 2003 servers but I'm not sure I've had this on 2008 servers.
I can tell you what i'm doing on a couple of 2003 servers that MS is helping me with. They installed Poolmon on the server and if it experiences this issue again then someone at the console will hit right-ctl scrlck scrlk and that will create a dump of the memory at the time. I'm in the process of catching this on two servers. This is the only way I know of figuring out what is causing the problem.
In my scenario there are all kinds of event log errors hours before the server gives up the ghost.  But nothing indicating the exact culprit.
I'll check further to see if this will work on 2008.
This is an all-or-nothing response.
This could be the cause of it http://support.microsoft.com/kb/961775

I have seen this with severs with Trend Micro AV instaled on them, and I assume some other AV products that integrate with TDI could have the same effect.

Applied the hotfix last week from article http://support.microsoft.com/kb961775 and unfortunately had call from customer reporting same problem not sending/receving email and unable to logon to Server.
Is there any clue in the event logs?
