Blackberry/Exchange task requests

I have a user having a problem when she assigns tasks in Outlook (we use Outlook 2007 and Exchange 2007- BES 4.1.3).
She assigns the task- The other user updates the task.
First problem(minor). If she opens the task in Outlook first- her to do list gets updated correctly. However, the notification does not appear to be read on the Blackberry.
Second problem (major). If she opens the task notification on the Blackberry first, the notifcation message also appears open in Outlook. However, the actual task does not get updated in Outlook unless she goes back to Outlook and reopens the message.

Email reconcilliation is set to mailbox and handheld on the device and no filters are in place. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We have a BES 5.0 environment right now and are unable to get assigned tasks to function correctly on the handheld devices.  I am unaware of any patch level on 4.1.x or 5.0.x which supports them.

Assigned tasks are not supported by or understood by BES 4.1.  Also, you are way behind in your SP level for that.  You could use a meeting request instead of an assigned task, if you need edit-ability in BES.  It is not the same, but at least it won't mess the item up.  As far as your First Problem, that is by design.  Once the notification has update the Task, it is supposed to disappear, just like a meeting request or update.

Is there any service pack level on 4.1 that will give some functionality? Would 5.0? At present, we are not attempting to assign tasks using the Blackberry- really just being able to open an update or completed notification on the Blackberry and have it actually update the task in Outlook. I am under the impression that this works for her some of the time but it is inconsistent.

Just wondering if anyone has a better mobile solution for managing assigned tasks, then
