I reinstalled my operating system, and when I went to reinstall MS Office 2003 Basic Editon, I found my disc case and product key, but can not find the disc.  I called MS and they said they have a department that can provide the discs.  When I called them, they said MS Office 2003 was no longer supported, so they do not for send those discs.  I have been looking for the software online, but every site I find says it's free, but then you need to join for $30 plus dollars.  I got a disc from a friend, but it turns out he had Standard addditon, which apparently is different than the Basic edition.

Does anyone know of a good site where I can download the software?

Not legally - you might check ebay

Or find a swap site where you can find somebody who will send you a copy.
Since you have the Product key, the source of the media is immaterial

I hope this helps !

What do you mean "not legally"?  I paid for it,  I have the key, but cant find the disc.  Had this happend before MS stopped supporting it, they would have send me, or anyone the disc, since it is only the media and not the license.  Your comment is nothing new, infact it is exactly what I said I had already tried.  When you say "find a swap site", I was hopping someone here would know a swap site that could provide what I was looking for.

Thanks,

I would normally not suggest this, however, I would explore torrent sites - as SysExpert indicated, "since you have the product key, the source of the media is immaterial."

Alternately, you could check ebay. I did, and found this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/MICROSOFT-OFFICE-2003-Basic-Edition-CD-/110576848408?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0

Current bid is $4.99 USD.
