WYSIWIG Web Builder - Update caption on google search result

Hi,

Where can I update the text, which appears underneath my website name when I do a Google Search.

I've used WYSIWIG web builder to build my website pages, but I forgot where to change the text mentioned above.

Thanks.

Hi,
You need to use the <meta> tag to give description about your web site. You need to specify keywords in meta tag which helps search engine to sort and index your site. Here are some of the links that may help you.

http://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_meta_content.asp
http://www.seologic.com/faq/meta-descriptions.php
http://www.philb.com/metatag.htm

hope this helps you.

hi mohd,

thank you for your reply. i know about meta tags, but i am after a specific answer on where to change the meta-tag in an application called WISYWIG Web Builder so that it changes the text displayed by the search engine.

I need to change the name of town where I provide my services and there should be a simple way to do this in WISYWIG, I just need to find out how to do it.

Thanks.

yes, i already tried that. i think you are on the right track with your answer, i thought the same thing. maybe it will take a little while for the tag to take effect and then it should eventually display properly in google as well.

let's hope. thanks.
