I understand that there is a way of controlling Macs added to a windows domain using group policies.

I have seen a site where you can download templates for this in the past but I have forgotten the URL.

Does anyone know where I can get the templates.

Thanks
Ed

It may be that you saw templates used in a third party app such as Centrify or Likewise. GPOs work through registry settings in windows and os x uses mcx settings to control the client experience. GPOs will not control the macs.
You can bind the macs to the ad domain for user authentication, but you would still need an os x server with open directory, or a third party app to control the os x clients access to apps, printers, etc..
