yes to both...Is there some type of sensor there?  Where can I get a service manual?  It will not let me copy, print etc. with this error...

I talked to a Xerox tech friend of mine, and he said there's a sensor somewhere that says the output tray is full.

He said that the he believes the 3535 is an older model printer annd that there used to be some type of "black finger" that was the paper sensor and that this finger would get stuck in the up position.

When you look at the center output tray, do you see this?

That be nice if there was a finger to simply tape down.. or snip the wire..
