Split container not working propery

Hello,
I'm developing a vb.net application that uses a split container.  However, when I drag the split contro to the left, the right side of the split pane 2 is still cut off.  I'm not sure why.  The second split pane is holding another pane called pnlMain

Set pnlMain.Dock = Fill.

Do you want your split container to fill the entire form? if so, set split container's Dock property to Fill.

I've also set the split containers dock property to fill and I have the same symptom

Maybe the right panel is in fact not big enough to display all the controls anyway. Does the split container fill the entire form now?
