I am running a windows server 2008 with terminal services which i am using a xenserver is there a way I can watch the schedule task run in terminal services / xen server. I know a majority of any thing you set to run in schedule task is run in the back ground. However i have seen some schedule task interact with the desktop and you are able to see the task run if you are directly infront of the console. However, due to the fact that you cannot be at the console you must rdp in to the xen server you cant see the schedule task run. It runs but it runs silently in the back ground even directly from the xen center.

Depending on how you are running the task you could do this in your executable

Sometask.bat >>"c:\location of logfile\schedtask.txt"
This will write all output to a file.

2 > appends the file 1 > overwriteswrites a the file each time it runs.

You may have to change the syntax a little to get it to run correctly in scheduled tasks.
