Hey,

I am trying to find a way to turn on base64 encode/decode via php.ini. I am trying to work with the platform BluDomain. I moved it to another server and am now getting this error:

Warning: base64_decode() has been disabled for security reasons in /data/21/2/98/29/2098192/user/2300870/htdocs/bluadmin/index.php(2) : eval()'d code on line 1

It worked fine on their old server. I called Network Solutions and they said that we needed to add it to the php.ini file.

Any ideas on how I can fix this error?

Thanks,

Ryan

Check for the disable_functions directive in your php.ini.
This directive allows you to disable certain functions for security reasons.
It receives a comma-delimited list of function names. This directive is
*NOT* affected by whether Safe Mode is turned On or Off.
So, you will need to remove the base64_ function from that list for it to work
Let me know if that helps

Thanks!

I created a php.ini file. And in that file i put:

disable_functions

Now when I go to the main URL: http://www.waynefoster.com/ - I get 403.

But when I go to the login page: http://www.waynefoster.com/bluadmin/login.php

I DO NOT get the error I first posted, but other errors which I can figure out later. But any ideas why the home page is a 403 now?

Thanks,

Ryan
