I have two SQL Server 2005 servers connected via a VPN configured for database mirroring. Last night, the backup server last power and restarted. I know that I can copy the database over and restart mirroring from scratch, but shouldn't the two servers automatically resynchronize? It would be an enormous problem if I had to restart mirroring every time that there was a VPN interruption or a power problem.
