Thanks, you made me realize that I probably need SPW2010 on the client that tries to sync. After I installed SPW2010 the sunc to sharepoint workspace became available and I was able to create a offline copy of the library.

I have a SharePoint Foundation 2010 site with a library that I would like to sync offline. The Sync to SharePoint Workspace option is disabled.<br />
<br />
Some additional info:<br />
1. Offline Client Availability was on by default and I have not changed it for the site or the library.<br />
2. I am able to use Explorer view and the Edit in Microsoft Word feature works<br />
3. SharePoint Foundation 2010 is hosted on Windows 2008 in IIS7<br />
4. I do not get any errors when I try to sync, the option is simply not available, not listed under Site Actions and disabled under Library Tools - Connect and Export<br />
<br />
Please help as I cannot find anything helpful on the net. All references to this problems indicates that the Offline Client Availability is off or Workspaces has been disabled, but I cannot see where to enable workspaces.<br />
