Uranium backup is for file level backup, not for tape backup, if you have any alternate solution, kindly let me know.
Thanks for your reply.

If you have an old PC lying around to turn into a linux box, you could link it up to your Windows machine and use AMANDA

   http://www.amanda.org/

If that doesn't appeal, you should work out what your backup requirements are, see which package meets them, and then buy a slightly older version (than whatever is current) on eBay.

Some backup packages...

Backup Exec
Arcserve
Netbackup
Networker
Retrospect
Tapeware

What backup package you choose can have a major impact on your life if your machine goes down, so it's worth establishing exactly what it is you need before committing to one - particularly as most of them
will not read each others tapes, so it can be a major pain to change packages once you've got a large number of backup tapes with stuff you need to access.

Anyway if you will end up with no free solution you can try BackupAssist (www.backupassist.com) - very affordable backup program which wrap around ntbackup and have many other features

The big problem with the freeware version of Z-Datdump is that it's limited to 4GB backup :-(
