Hello,
I am using MW Word 2003 under Vista. when I want it to send a document as attachment it will open an email client I don't want it to open. How can I tell it to open Outlook 2003 when sending a document as attachment?

thanks, Penelope

There should be a "Default Programs" link in your start menu. You can change these options there

It won't let me do that. I do not want to open .doc filles with Outlook per default. I just want them to be SENT as attachment by Outlook.

From Outlook 2003's main window, go to Tools > Options; in the Options dialog that opened, click on the "Other" tab.

Under General, check the Make Outlook the default program for E-mail, Contacts, and Calendar checkbox.

Click OK to validate your choice. Outlook 2003 should now be your default email client.

*Use the above instructions to make sure Outlook is set as your default email client*
That should make outlook 2003 open whenever you try to send an attachment
