IBM t42 wireless connection problem.

I formated my IBM t42 laptop and reinstall XP.. but now I am unable to connect using the wirless connection... I did find the driver and it's seeing the available networks in the area, but it just times out after I try to connect.

Which wireless card does it have? I see it can have a couple different wireless cards... If it is intel I would recomend going to intel's website and download the newest intel pro wireless software.

I do have have the lasted intel driver.... One thing I do notice is that when my network is unsecure the wireless is able to connect.... but when it' secure it not connecting.....

Are you using the intel pro wireless software or wireless zero configuratiion? What type of encryption are you using to secure your wireless network? Also which wireless network card are you using? Sorry for all the questions but trying to near it down. Could be a could of different issues still...

I did not have the lasted driver...download the newest intel pro wireless software.
and it worked.
