I need a webcam that will automatically focus on the current speaker in a class room environment.  This is not about motion tracking, plenty of webcams do that.  Any ideas?

I worked on a prototype for some thing that did this a few years back.  The issue I ran in to was too much noise.  When someone was talking constantly it was ok, but if a person jumped in and spoke or there was another noise in the room, the camera wanted to move to where the noise was.

We also found we needed multiple mics and for the software to triangulate the sounds point of origin.  It got too expensive and was shelved until we could get the cost down :-)

I have not seen a mainstream commercial version of this yet.
