I don't want to import contacts, I just want to view the contacts in SIM.

Is there any app or anything like that to view the sim contacts?

Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars-> Import SIM Contacts.
That's the way with the import.

There is a way to retrieve the user phone number, but it's not on SIM. It's in the user settings. The code will look like:
id num = [[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] objectForKey:@”SBFormattedPhoneNumber”];
NSLog(@”Phone number is %@”, num);
This code is from here: http://www.alexcurylo.com/blog/2008/11/15/snippet-phone-number/

Probably, direct work with the SIM is again the "SandBox" security model. Maybe, even something worse.
So you cannot find a legal way to retrieve the phone numbers from SIM. Maybe soon something for the jailbroken phone will work with the SIM-cards.

Thanks you for answering this. Although, it doesn't solve for what I'm looking for I'm accepting this as the answer as I think iPhone doesn't have any capability to view the SIM contacts without importing them.
