How do I select a slide out child menu navigation using IE developer toolbar?

For example, select Textbooks under Books section in left hand menu navigation in Amazon.com.

There should be a "select element by click" option in your web developer toolbar, select this and then you should be able to click on any element and see its' properties etc. Failing that just use FireBug for Firefox where you can right click any element and inspect that element.
