Cannot Use Exchange 2003 GAL From Outlook 2010

A user is trying to access his mailbox on an Exchange 2003 server from Outlook 2010 while using RPC over HTTP.  He is able to pull down email, contacts, calendars, etc, but cannot access the GAL.  Are there any incompatibilities between Outlook 2010 and Exchange 2003 that would prevent him from accessing the GAL.  I can access the GAL from a machine using Outlook 2003, but not from Outlook 2010.  Please help.

AFAIK no, what I can think of something wrong with the PF store or PF assignment

I fixed problem myself.  Logged on to local network, went to GAL and typed in a letter and GAL populated.
