Streaming audio Flash component, w/o UI wanted

Hi!

I am all new to Flash development, and pretty new to streaming audio.
Nevertheless, I am supposed to build a Flash audio player, which is supposed to consume streaming audio, both "podcast" and live (radio) audio.

I am aware of the Sound* classes in Flash, but I've also noticed that there are some custom coding that is required, such as parsing playlists files, extracting ID3-info for live audio, etc.
I've also noticed that it is possible to purchase Flash audio players for embedding in own webpages. However, none of the players I have found are controllable from another UI. In my case, I need to provide the UI (play/pause buttons, showing song/artist info, etc).

So, have I just not looked good enough? Or is it so simple to build your own streaming audio player that there is no market for what I am looking for?
(Which is, to repeat, a Flash component, without UI but controllable from (my) ActiveScript and that supports streaming live and podcast audio)

Thanks!
/Fredrik
