SharePoint Launcher Service & IPV6

I am recieving Event ID 8198 for the Load Balancer service and 6062 for the Launcher Service in SharePoint 2007.  I have IPV6 Disabled in the registry using 0xffffffff.  I keep getting found 2 valid ip addresses, choosing this one ::1 which seems like IPV6 is using a loopback.  If I ping -6 local host or ping the servername I recieve ::1.  The only solution I've found is to put the server IP and name in the host file.

Does anyone know another solution to this problemfor the Launcher service and load balancer service in SharePoint 2007?

Well, I've used the Microsoft registry key and by choosing 20 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929852, I do get the server IP address when I ping.   However, the Event Errors for the Launcher service are still showing up. So I need to figure out how to get the correct parameters for the keyIPExclude in the Launcher.exe.config file.

Configuring network clients can be a chore, especially if there are a large number of them or a lot of itinerant users.  DHCP dynamically manages this process, much to the relief of users and administrators alike!
