2 column layout with flash embedded

I have a portfolio page that is done in flash. It displays photos in 4x4 space.
When the photo is clicked, the flash spans 100% width of the page and zooms in on the photo.
ex: http://www.simpleviewer.net/tiltviewer/app/

What I'd like to have is 2 columns. flash on left, and then the right column have navigation in it, but when a photo is clicked, the flash image still expands over-top of the right column.

I don't know if z-indexing will work as I can't make positions absolute. Any Ideas?

Dont think this will work unfortunately.

As the actual flash viewer on your example page is width:100%; so although the images do not use all the space - they do when expanded.

You could look into adding the navigation into the actual FLA / flash file, then I imagine this would work. However if this isn't your own work, it will not work unfortunately.

I would suggest to look into alternative viewers, possibly some jquery image viewers.
