MOSS 2007 EE installing with SQL 2005 on OS 2008 R2 EE Receiving Errors

Hello Experts,

While installing MOSS on a W2K8 EE R2 X64 server and the SQL Server 2005 is a W2K3  EE X32, I am receiving the following Errors. Any thoughts as to what the problem could be?

Event ID 100

Configuration of SharePoint Products and Technologies failed.  Configuration must be performed in order for this product to operate properly.  To diagnose the problem, review the extended error information located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\LOGS\PSCDiagnostics_8_30_2010_17_37_39_411_2084644295.log, fix the problem, and run this configuration wizard again.

Event ID 6141

The site / could not be created.  The following exception occured: Unable to connect to database.  Check database connection information and make sure the database server is running..

Event ID 27745

The description for Event ID 27745 from source Windows SharePoint Services 3 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

#50071: Unable to connect to the database SharePoint_AdminContent_1791fb0c-0c73-4981-9f4f-c1a4bd2b480b on usilkcv028.  Check the database connection information and make sure that the database server is running.

the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table

Thanks for the quick response! I do not think this is related to my problem, but I will take a deeper dive into it first thing in the morning, must have sleep now... long day!
