Running ASA on GNS on windows XP
Hi experts,
I plan on running a ASA on GNS on a windows XP machine but most of tutorial and setup i find in the internet are for setting up an ASA on linux systems. I already got the latest GNS on my XP and i got ASA image. I'm not to familiar on scripts, compiling and such that's why I'm really having a hard time understanding what they say.
Badly need your help guys on this, hope to hear from you guys.
Thanks in advance :-)

actually they could emulate ASA on GNS but most tutorials i've encountered are setting it up on either OSx or linux base OS like Ubuntu.
i've seen a lot of links on setting it up on linux, and i know some are able to set it up on windows machine but i can't find the right material i can understand to do the same.

i got it working! together with ASDM, just read thru second link, yehey! now IDS and IPS on GNS, but i think this would be more difficult :-(
good to know, when you do a show ver what does it claim to be?
for the ips there is a vmware version of the 5.x ids floating around for lab purposes.
