Red Hat 4.8: how to tar.gz a group of files?

Hello experts,

I am in this directory
/Logs

it contains a bunch of log files
083010_1220_67.log
083010_1230_47.log
083010_1240_87.log
083010_1250_37.log
083010_1260_77.log
083010_1320_57.log
083010_1340_67.log
083010_1360_67.log
083010_1380_67.log

how do I tar just just these array of files?
083010_12.*

I tried this and it didn't work:
tar -zcvf 083010_12.tar.gz 083010_12.*.log

thx so much..

Try:
tar -zcvf 083010_12.tar.gz 083010_12*.log
