Object already open error for SQL Compact 3.5

I have an application written in Delphi 2010 using dbGo components that accesses a SQL Compact 3.5 database.

The app worked ok against SQL Server 2008 but now i have ported it to Compact 3.5 I am getting problems.

When I open some datasets using a simple "select * from <tablename>" I get an error message "Object is already open" but other tables can be opened OK.

This is repeatable after i reboot my PC, and when I move to a test app that just opens one dataset/table.

Any ideas?
